New Website: Erin Hession Photography

We’ve just put the final touches on a new custom website for Erin Hession Photography. This new website certainly is one-of-a-kind. In the past, we’ve developed websites based entirely on code and graphics. This new website takes our abilities to the next level and allows us to introduce a more rich, animated and interactive product.

Erin came to us needing something that stood out from the rest. She needed not only a new look and feel for her website, but she needed to make an instant impression on her potential clients.

For this new custom website, we utilized a new custom design with animated drop down navigation. We also introduced a flash based slideshow that rotates between photos and customer testimonials. Each page has page transition animation and a full screen background image. In addition, we utilized spectacular image galleries and even chose some awesome music to go along with the individual nature of each gallery (check out the Pets Gallery).

Erin’s work literally speaks for itself and now, so does her website!

New Site: Shoot Fore Sammi

We’ve been honored to have been able to create a new custom site for Shoot Fore Sammi, a non-profit organization and golf event helping to raise funds and awareness for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (or SIDS). The organization plans and operates a golf tournament that raises money for the SIDS Center of Indiana. For this new site, we did a custom design, and a content management system (so they will be able to edit the site themselves). We also integrated the site with Paypal and Eventbrite for faster management of their event, registration of the golfers and teams, donations and sponsorships.

Being a past participant in other SIDS events, I was truly excited to be able to work with Heather, the founder of Shoot Fore Sammi, on the planning and development of this new site.

Heather was so excited for the launch of the new site, that she had this to say, “The website is awesome!!! To most, it will seem as though you simply created a website, but to me, you are helping to keep my daughter’s memory alive and in turn helping my dream come to life. I know this sounds so cheezy, but its the truth. Thank you for all your hard work through all of this!!!”

New Site: A Touch Of Elegance

InspireMedia has launched a new site this week! A Touch of Elegance is a mother/daughter event coordination team. They contacted InspireMedia needing a new custom design for their site. Not only did we give them a new custom design, but we built their site in such a way that it will grow with their business for years to come. The site is built off of the popular WordPress content management system and blogging platform and features a custom gallery plugin customizable contact forms, and more.

Haiti Relief

It seems that most everyone knows someone who has been affected by the massive 7.3 earthquake in Haiti. I myself have a friend who’s family started a hospital in Port Au Prince. I couldn’t help wonder what was going through his mind as he searched the photos of the destruction looking for any confirmation that the hospital might still be standing. The news out of Haiti has been a grim reminder that this can happen just about anywhere in the world.

But out of this tragedy, social media had helped to fuel a windstorm of support and donations for the area. A brief time spent on Twitter tonight and you’ll quickly see the tweets and retweets of all the various causes offering relief for the area.

Corporate America is also stepping up to lend their support. Home Depot and Lowes have both pledged donations for Haiti Relief.

For those looking to pledge their support in any way to the victims of the Haiti Earthquake, here are a few of the top places you should look:

The Red Cross is pledging an initial $1 Million for relief. You can donate online, through their toll free number (1-800-RedCross) or you can send a $10 donation by texting “Haiti” to 90999.
Living Water International is planning a coordinated response to help bring clean water into the area. The Executive Director of LWI has said, “In Haiti, clean water is a terrible problem even at the best of times. After a quake like this, it’s a crisis of epic proportions.”
It’s been rumored on Twitter that American Airlines is offering to fly doctors and nurses into Haiti for relief free of charge. For more information call 212-697-9767.
